For whom the ring tones

Theres no denying that the ringtones business is a growth industry: the fact that the incredibly annoying Crazy Frog actually made it to the top of the globally influential UK pop charts and then stayed there for several, seemingly endless, weeks is evidence enough of the power of the phenomenon. As indeed is the appalling cacophony now routinely endured by any poor sucker over the age of 17 who is unfortunate enough to have to commute on public transport at the same time as hordes of over-indulged and far too techno-savvy schoolkids.
John Paul Satre said, Hell is other people, but that was before the advent of the mobile phone. These days, for an increasing number of people, hell is being trapped on a train, a bus or in a cinema with no escape from other peoples ringtones.
