Microsoft Launches Windows Live for Mobile
Windows Live for Mobile came out in beta today. The quiet introduction really not doing justice to the work the Windows Live team has done to develop a very nice and generally usable suite of mobile applications with functionality that does a good job of duplicating as much as possible - given the viewing and I/O contraints - what youre used to experiencing on the web.
The offering has all the usual suspects; mail, access to RSS feeds, news, MSN Messenger, Money, Calendar, Entertainment, Fox Sports, Microsofts Search Beta, the relaunched beta version of MSN.com, Weather, Local information and even the ability to personalize certain attributes of the Mobile interface (though I cant play with them at the moment because Im getting an error stating that traffic is exceeding the websites configured capacity).
Microsoft is actively soliciting opinions about this mobile suite via a web-based survey page that can be found here. So check it out and tell them what you think. You can access Windows Live Mobile by entering http://mobile.live.com into the browser on your mobile device.
