T-Mobile brings the My Opera Community to its web'n'walk users

Opera Software today announced that T-Mobile is bringing a customized version of the My Opera Community to its web'n'walk users. By integrating the community into their product offering, T-Mobile allows its customers to take advantage of popular My Opera features such as photoblogging, photo albums and more, all from the convenience of their web'n'walk powered phones.

T-Mobile's web'n'walk offering uses a customized version of Opera Mini that allows users to surf the Web from their mobile phones. Once online with Opera Mini, web'n'walk customers can access all of My Opera's features, as well as the exclusive T-Mobile group page and dedicated forums for web'n'walk users. My Opera gives T-Mobile users 300 MB of storage space on their personal pages, and once registered, users will automatically be added to the T-Mobile group.

''T-Mobile is Opera's pioneering customer in terms of integrating My Opera with their product,'' says Jon von Tetzchner, CEO for Opera Software. ''My Opera presents a unique solution to operators such as T-Mobile, as it allows them to offer their customers attractive features such as photoblogging. This not only adds functionality to the web'n'walk offering, but also drives data traffic for T-Mobile.''

Web'n'walk is T-Mobile's initiative to differentiate itself as the leading mobile Internet provider and grow data services into a mass market. T-Mobile was the first operator to pre-install customized Opera Mini browsers on selected handsets.
