The Samsung E570 forms part of Samsung's ''La Fleur'' collection of fashion phones, joining the Samsung E500 and upcoming Samsung E420 handsets.
It's a unashamedly ''girlie'' phone, complete with a pink colour scheme and a pretty floral design.. perhaps too girlie for many though. The SGH-E570 is a close relative of the attractive Samsung E530 with a few minor changes While the Samsung E570 might be a little excessive when it comes to colouring, it still retains the beautiful curved shape of the E530.
There's a 1.3 megapixel camera on the SGH-E570, along with an MP3/AAC player, Bluetooth and expandable memory. The internal display is a pretty standard 1.8'' 176x220 pixel panel, and there's a small external display on the outside.. unusually for Samsung this is a tall-thin panel, which appears to be a little like the one on the Motorola PEBL. Unlike the E530, the Samsung E570 has no external camera flash. The E570 does have an inbuilt pedometer function and a calorie counter.
Perhaps the Samsung E570 is a triumph of form over function, after all the specifications aren't particularly advanced for a current handset. On the other hand, it's a very attractive looking device and it goes to show that Samsung can create something more interesting that their usual pretty bland designs.
Samsung will launch the SGH-E570 in Russia in November 2006, probably followed by other countries later. The unsubsidised price of the E570 is around 300 Euro before tax and operator discount.
